I’ve been Sick lately . . . And I don’t mean Hot, Cool, or Sexy!

I’ve been to many places,  in The Bronx, and what

I’ve noticed is everybody has to go back to school.

The English here has a lot to be desired.  I went to

the pizza shop the other day, for a couple of slices,

and three young ladies entered to order their meals.

One young girl ordered and this is how she did it,

“Can I get two slices and a Pepsi”

I don’t know was that a question or a statement.

Better yet what the hell is that?  Years ago I

remember ordering was like this,

“I’d like to order two slices and a Pepsi!”

This sounds so much better.  I don’t know how

anybody else does it, or if it annoys you, but it

makes me nuts.

It’s A Cold Day In New York City

It is currently 34 degrees in The Bronx and I’m sure that it’s colder

in Manhattan.  I headed out for a bit to take my hubby to the Manhattan

Express Bus, so he is on his way to work.  The cool air was refreshing and

I even saw some flurries!  I’m about the only person in this city that wants

to see some snow fall.  I wonder how do you all feel about this type of

weather?

Well, I’ve noticed that blogging about life is tricky!

Nobody want’s to read about things that are to depressing, but

they’ll read a story that has broken hearts, broken bodies, and

missing people.

So, what does this say about or society, does it mean that if your to

close to reality–we loss our need to know this information.  Do we

really not want to know what is coming.  Are we all a bunch of

“Walking Zombies!”  This is what is called denial!

Waiting Word of The MRI & Spinal Tap

Waiting to hear from the Neurologist, about my

MRI & Spinal Tap. I made my appointment yesterday

just to find out that the Eye Doctor, was correct with

the results of my eye exam.  He did say,

“Don’t Worry!”

Many times he said it, but yesterday the Neurologist

confirmed the diagnosis.

Pseudotumor Cerebri
(Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension)

So, now that I know how to pronounce it . . . Can I

begin to Worry Now? It’s not like I don’t have other

things to worry about.  All my illnesses have the

weirdest names.  When I do something I sure do

it right! I was told that my brain is swelling and this

can cause me to go totally blind or Lord Know what

else.  But, it’s like every thing else in life you just

have to keep on trucking. This is what I will do!

I’ll keep you all informed of any updates on this

new challenge of mine.

The Life Lottery

Well, here I go again!  Last week I went to visit the

eye doctor, because I was having trouble seeing with

my old glasses.  I’m bad at forgetting to take care of

small details like this, but the other doctors I go to

like clock-work.  Only, because I’ve got to many illnesses

to keep up with.  So, I thought!

The eye doctors appointment went well with the

exception of one little problem.  He looks into my

eye and noticed that there is some swelling in the

back of my head, and he says, “Don’t Worry . . .

But I want you to see a Neurologist, asap!”

Well, this was last week and my appointment

was made for tomorrow (1/10/12).  So, now

as if I don’t have enough on my plate, here is

one more thing to take care of.  Life is never

boring, keeps me on my toes, and always makes

me a winner of, The Life Lottery!

Good Morning America

Here we are again, another day to take care of some kind of business.

What chores are on your plate today?  I know it’s Sunday, but really

we all know that most people don’t have time during the week with

jobs to get to, tending to the kiddies, and doctors appointments.

So we have to do chores–on Sunday too!  Yes, the one day of the week

that was meant for rest and reflection. Well, we all know that

we’re not perfect, so don’t worry–be happy!  Just enjoy your day

anyway you want, because waking up is an accomplishment these days!

Be proud of yourself and smile!  :)

Yummy Pizza

Yummy Pizza in The Bronx

Went today for dinner to a Pizza Shop, in The Bronx.

Actually, it was in my childhood neighborhood, and I

told my husband that it tasted like pizza tasted when

I was a child.  It was perfect!  I was in Middletown, this

is a stop on the 6 train a couple stops from the last stop

on this MTA line.  The neighborhood is still prominently

Italian, and the place was clean, the restaurant smelled

good, and the display of options to eat were all inviting.

So, what to do but order a small pie for two!  We each

got three wonderfully good slices.  I will be back for

sure!  If you are ever in this neck of the woods–don’t

hesitate to go to Frankie’s Pizza Shop, just a few feet

from the train stations staircase.

“Our Beloved Patches Is Gone!” You’ll truly be missed! RIP 1/6/12

Invisible Me

I just want to be invisible me

To be left alone

and sit by the sea.

There are many times

I want to ask people

why can’t you see

I just want to be

Invisible me!
